Unfortunately I will be on leave next week, so will not be able to be present. I should like however, to see any account of the meeting and any future account of progress in this investigation.
It strikes me that one of the ways in which we can help from this end is by providing a bibliography covering previous investigations of this kind in other territories. Professor Firth's fascinating book on Malay Fishermen has been mentioned. Among others there is Mr. Surridge's work on Rural Life in Cyprus, Halcrow and Cave on Peasant Agriculture in Barbados, Professor Shephard on Peasant Agriculture in the Leeward and Windward Islands, etc. Some of these might give valuable hints on method and the kind of questions which can be asked in this kind of work.
